The platform for digital payment management bezahl.de has revolutionized sales and accounting processes in the automotive trade. On September 10 and 11, 2019, the development team from NX Technologies will be taking part in the Mercedes-Benz 24-hour hackathon.

High demands on startups and developers

The opportunities for digital transformation in the automotive industry are greater than ever — and bezahl.de is at the forefront as an innovative platform for digital payment management. Since 2018, the team of the two founders Lasse Diener and Ulrich Schmidt has been leading the way in breaking up and revolutionizing manual processes related to sales and payment processing in the automotive trade. Almost at the same time as the brand relaunch of bezahl.de, the development team received an invitation from Daimler to participate in the hackathon at the IAA. It involves the development of an innovative app as part of the Mercedes-Benz Mobile SDK (Software Development Kit), in which driver and vehicle data are to be intelligently combined and made usable.

A resulting 0 error rate and real-time transparency in payment allocation saves 70% of manual expenses in accounting. The developers from NX Technologies are not only successfully convincing the market with bezahl.de, but also want to show that they can absolutely meet the requirements of the jury at the hackathon.

The jury's criteria — and the performance of bezahl.de Innovation & Benefits: How radical and disruptive is the idea of the application?

bezahl.de is revolutionizing payment management in automotive retail by depicting a process ranging from digital customer contact, customer-oriented payment to real-time transparency via a fully automated allocation process. Old-fashioned communication methods, cash payments and lack of transparency about inefficient additional expenses are a thing of the past with bezahl.de.

Design & functionality: How does the application deliver what it should do?

The NX Technologies team laid the foundation for its success story in 2015 with the first digital payment method for private car purchases. This made it possible to pay for cars via smartphone instead of cash upon handover. As a result, they won the “Golden Transaction” award back in 2018. Due to high demand from the automotive trade, the team focused on developing a B2B solution. bezahl.de's application is easy to integrate and operate both for car dealers and for car buyers who manage without registration.

Sustainability: Does this application include aspects of sustainability?

bezahl.de is not only sustainably changing payment processes within a car dealership. The payment management platform is also working towards expanding processes, e.g. to the service and workshop. By focusing on one sector and cooperating with leading car trade groups, bezahl.de is extremely tailored to the needs of car dealers.

Product scalability: Is the application scalable?

bezahl.de is particularly suitable for trade groups, as a company or trading house acts as a pilot and the system can then be smoothly rolled out to all other companies with one click. The product is maximally scalable, as it can be used for countless industries with the same logic and function. In contrast to competitors, it is also based on a business model that includes a fixed amount plus low, fixed transaction costs per payment transaction. bezahl.de creates even more: scalability combined with maximum personalization.
